Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PrepCall, an AI-powered interview coaching platform operated by PrepCall ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. About the Service
PrepCall provides AI-powered interview coaching through voice-based practice sessions and personalised coaching reports. The service is designed to help you prepare for job interviews by practising with an AI coach and receiving feedback on your delivery, confidence, and content.
PrepCall is a third-party coaching tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any employer or hiring company. Our AI coaches do not simulate any specific company’s interview process. Practice sessions and coaching reports are for your personal development only and do not constitute professional career advice.
2. Accounts
To use PrepCall, you must create an account via our authentication provider (Clerk). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 16 years old (UK: 13) to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
3. Free Trial
New users receive one free practice session. No credit card is required. The free session provides the complete PrepCall experience including a full coaching report.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
After your free session, continued use requires a paid subscription at $14.99 per month, which includes 5 practice sessions. Additional sessions can be purchased individually at $4.99 each. All prices are in US dollars.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal, accessible from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
All prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout depending on your location.
We reserve the right to change our pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
Your Right to Cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (UK), you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of your first subscription payment during which you may cancel for a full refund. However, by starting a practice session during this period, you consent to the immediate supply of digital content and acknowledge that you will lose the right to cancel to the extent that the service has been provided. If you have not used any sessions, you are entitled to a full refund within the 14-day period. To request a cancellation or refund, contact hello@prepcall.com.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use PrepCall for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
Share your account credentials with others or allow others to use your account.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the service.
Use automated tools to access the service (bots, scrapers, etc.).
Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or infringes third-party rights.
Misrepresent PrepCall as an official representative of any employer or hiring company.
Create multiple free accounts to circumvent session limits.
6. Voice Data and AI Processing
During practice sessions, your voice is processed in real time by Hume AI to analyse emotional expression (prosody, tone, pace, confidence). This data is used to generate your coaching report.
Voice audio is not permanently stored. Session transcripts and emotion data are retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days. For full details, see our Privacy Notice.
Coaching reports are generated by AI (Claude by Anthropic) and represent automated coaching suggestions. They are not professional assessments. You should use your own judgement when acting on any recommendations.
7. Intellectual Property
PrepCall and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Content you upload (CVs, job descriptions) remains your property. You grant us a limited licence to process this content for the purpose of providing the service. We do not use your personal content to train AI models.
Coaching reports generated during your sessions are provided for your personal use. You may save, print, and share your own reports.
8. Disclaimers
PrepCall is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements.
We make no guarantees regarding interview outcomes, job offers, or career advancement. PrepCall is a practice tool — results depend on many factors beyond our control.
AI-generated coaching feedback is automated and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. It should not be relied upon as professional career, legal, or psychological advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrepCall shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or opportunities, arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behaviour.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will retain your data in accordance with our Privacy Notice retention periods.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
